National Punctuation Day 2014
It’s National Punctuation Day! We wanted a special way to celebrate this day – and what a better way than to use punctuation as part of a creative project! Sure, punctuation is important. It allows someone to express themselves through the written word – and actually get their point across! See what I did there?
Today is a playful holiday. National Punctuation Day is celebrated every year on September 24th to remind people how important proper emphasis is when writing and communicating. Here at Express & Create, we want to remind people of these small, silly holidays to allow everyone to remember to have some fun with life!
That is where we come in. Being an Art Studio, we are passionate about making people happy, reminding people to nourish their creative side, and having fun doing so! The right side of your brain is where your creativity lives. It is the side of the brain that many people put aside throughout their regular routine. Express your creative side! Dust off the right side of your brain and enjoy small pleasures geared towards creativity. Everyone has creativity within themselves. Come in and explore some of the ways we can help you reengage your imagination and creativity.
I cannot even tell you how many times we have had adults tell us how long it has been since they have done something overly creative. Most of us are so caught up in our careers and families, that we forget how important it is to our overall health to discover our full creative potential.
Always remember to take some time out of your day for yourself. Have some fun – be playful – be creative! Come see us here at the studio to celebrate the right side of the brain. Oh, and punctuation.
You can’t use up creativity. The more you use, the more you have ~ Maya Angelou
